Revolutionizing Fan Engagement
At the heart of these experiences is a streamlined QR code registration model, allowing fans to easily participate in all activities and return throughout the season. This user-friendly system enhances accessibility and encourages repeated engagement.
Skillshot Challenge
The Skillshot Challenge (formerly named Slapshot Challenge), utilizes high-speed mocap sensors to deliver an accurate and high-performance mixed reality hockey experience. Advanced OptiTrack cameras capture precise shot data, including velocity and spatial positioning, in order to match professional level of play through various game modes. This sophisticated system enables fans to experience the thrill of taking shots against a virtual goalie, shatter hovering targets and track their slapshot speeds on an interactive projection wall.
Goalie Challenge
The Goalie Challenge, another NHL arena debut, employs computer vision technology to track pucks landing in the goal. An AI-powered camera system in the net registers shots in real-time, generating instant user scores and providing an authentic goaltending experience.
Engagement Beyond the Arena
Both the Slapshot Challenge and Goalie Challenge offer immediate video takeaways, allowing fans to download and share their experiences on social media, further extending engagement beyond the arena.
Additional experiences, the Pose with a Pro and Virtual Jersey try-on kiosks, utilize augmented reality and contactless activation to bring fans closer to their favorite players and team merchandise.
